Impact of Saturn Transit in Sagittarius

On 26 October 2017, transit Saturn will be re-entering into Sagittarius zodiac (Dhanu Rashi). The previous stay of transit Saturn into Sagittarius was operational for a very short period (26 January 2017 to 21 June 2017); although, this time Saturn transit in Sagittarius will be operational from 26 October 2017 to 24 January 2020. During its stay of around 27 months in Sagittarius, transit Saturn will remain in retrograde motion between 18 April 2018 to 6 September 2018 and between 30 April 2019 to 18 September 2019. During retrograde motion, the impact of Saturn’s transit may remain a bit more highlighted and specific in accordance with its friendliness and support for specific ascendant. Generally, Saturn is known as a trouble creator and/or obstructive planet; however, this actually depends upon the nature of Saturn for specific Ascendant and, when favourable, the transit of Saturn may also generate support and favourable results for some Ascendant.

General horoscope readings of Saturn transit in Sagittarius zodiac (Dhanu rashi) are given below; and, these astrology readings are based upon your ascendant sign and not on your Moon sign. Therefore, be sure and very clear about it. These horoscope readings for twelve ascendant signs are of general nature, and specific results may differ on the basis of strength and placement of Saturn and other planets in your vedic horoscope. For personal horoscope readings of transit influence of Saturn on your horoscope, you may take paid astrology readings. Continue reading »

Transit Jupiter will be changing its transit from Virgo zodiac (Kanya rashi) to Libra zodiac (Tula rashi) on 12 September 2017 and will remain there till 11 October 2018. During its stay in Libra, transit Jupiter will remain in retrograde motion from 9 March 2018 to 11 July 2018.

As per vedic astrology, Tula Rashi (Virgo sign) is an Airy sign (Vaayyu Tattva) of Shudra Varna which wanders on the earth and resides in the West. It is biped with black complexion; rises with its head and Rajoguni in nature. Gender of Libra (Tula) is male; it is moveable (Chara rashi) of medium size body and depict violent/cruel nature. Libra (Tula rashi) is ruled by Venus which is not a friendly planet with Jupiter; and, therefore, the general traits of Jupiter may not remain much prominent during its transit through Libra. However, some support may be there for Libra (depending upon disposition of Venus in your respective horoscope) due to basic nature of Jupiter (which is kind and benevolent). These positive influences may be related with knowledge and learning, progeny, distant journeys, love relationships, marriage, dance, language and music. The general horoscope readings of Jupiter transit into Libra zodiac for all ascendants are mentioned below. Continue reading »

A quick note on current Saturn transit

These days, transit Saturn is retrograde since 25 March 2016.  So, what’s big deal ! Planets (except the Sun and Moon) do become retrograde on frequent basis.  But, there is something special or rather specific about the current retrograde position of Saturn transit; and, this is related to its influence on other transit planets.

If you look at the current zodiac (as per vedic astrology calculations and I am using Lahiri Ayanamsha); Saturn’s retrograde position in transit is taking place in Scorpio zodiac (Vrishchika rashi) which is eighth zodiac ruled by Mars. In Kalapurusha Kundali (Cosmic horoscope wherein the first house is taken as Aries/Mesha rashi),  the eight house signifies obstruction, death, accidents, droughts, floods and other natural calamities and destruction etc. In other words, most of the things/events are signified by eighth house are negative and evil in nature.  And, Saturn is also a general significator for eighth house as well as the related evil attributes; like, it is notorious for creating troubles, obstructions, destruction, accidents and delays.

Therefore, the current transit of Saturn through Scorpio zodiac/Vrichchika rashi does carry some special weight and capable of interfering with/in normal and natural operational of the universe.  And, its retrograde position is further adding to its potency for negatively influencing the natural functioning of the world. As per vedic astrology, Kanya Rashi (Virgo sign) is an Earthy sign (Prithvi Tattva); and, rises with his head. Virgo (Kanya) is biped; has medium size body; and, it resides in South Direction. Its nature is soft (Soumya); and, it is strong during the day time. Virgo (Kanya rashi) is a female sign; dual in nature; is of Vaishya (Businessman) Varna (Race); and, ruled by Mercury. The general relationship between Jupiter and Mercury isn’t much friendly; and, therefore, the positive results of Jupiter’s transit into Virgo may come after some delay while the negative results may be immediate. The general impact of Jupiter transit in Virgo for all twelve ascendants is as under: Continue reading »

Current transit of Jupiter through Karka rashi (Cancer zodiac) will be over in the morning hours on 14 July 2015 when the transit Jupiter will be entering into Leo/Simha rashi and will remain there till 11 August 2016 (6:46 PM Delhi time). It resides in forests; rises with its head; has a bulky body and is pale in hue. The direction of Simha rashi (Leo zodiac) is east; it is strong during the day time; and, its nature is cruel, stable and of fiery temperament.  The general relationship between the Sun (lord of Simha rashi) and Jupiter is quite friendly; and, therefore, this transit of Jupiter through Leo sign (Simha rashi) is likely to have potent influence in accordance with its (Jupiter’s) nature for the specific ascendants (which is given below for all twelve Ascendants). Vargottama planets | Vedic Astrology overview

vargottama_planets_vedic_astrology_horoscope_astrologer

People often enquire about Vargottama planets in their vedic horoscopes; and, very recently one more similar message was received from one gentleman which is quoted below. For the sake of privacy, the email ID and other personal details have been omitted from the message; however, for the benefit of the reader, his queries have been reproduced exactly.

Hello sir, it is a very important question for me, i will be glad if
you can help on this.

Do rahu and ketu act as vargottama planets?

Now, I could have easily replied in specific and brief for this query; however, I thought of explaining this aspect in detail so that other regular visitors/readers of this blog may also be able to understand it.

In continuation to my previous article on Yogas:

Slokas 14 to 18 of Phaladeepika mentions about Yogas based upon mutual disposition of Sun, Moon and Jupiter.

Mahabhagya Yoga: This yoga is defined separately for both male and female as per which the following four conditions should be addressed in the chart of a male:

  • The birth should be falling in daytime, specifically between the Sunrise and Sunset.
  • The Ascendant sign (Lagna rashi) should be odd i.e. the birth should be falling in Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius or Aquarius Ascendant.
  • The Sun should be placed in odd signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius or Aquarius)
  • And, the Moon should also be placed in odd signs.

In case of female horoscope, the following conditions should be fulfilled:

  • The birth time should be falling in night, specifically after Sunset and before Sunrise.
  • The Ascendant sign (Lagna rashi) should be even i.e. the birth should be falling in Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn or Pisces Ascendant.
  • Both the Sun and the Moon should be placed in even zodiac (rashi)

Results:      The person (Male) born with Mahabhagya Yoga will be pleasant and good looking in appearance. He will be kind and pure at heart; will be famous and fortunate; and, will own lands. Female born with Mahabhagya Yoga will bear good character and high moral values; will be very fortunate and wealthy; and, will have the happiness from husband, sons and grandsons.

Gaj Kesari Yoga:      If the Moon is in Kendra (angular position) from the Jupiter in a horoscope (Lagna Chart); it will generate Kesari Yoga (also known as Gaj Kesari Yoga). Continue reading »

In vedic astrology, the term “Yoga” implies a specific combination and/or disposition of planets which are supposed to generate specific results for the nativity. And, these Yogas can be good as well as bad; for example, there are good yogas like Dhana yogas (related to Wealth) or Raj Yogas (related to Power and Authority) Yogas; and, there are bad Yogas like Daridra Yoga (Poverty). Sometimes, one may get confused or delighted when the astrologer, whom he or she is consulting, comes up with such terminology like, “there is a Dardira Yoga in your horoscope” or like, “you are having a Raj Yoga”. And, if you take this seriously, you may lack in proper understanding of your horoscope. I, personally, avoid using such terminology in my consultations; and, instead, try to offer a clear perspective on specific aspects of horoscope like Marriage, Profession, Finance etc.

The primary objective of these terms, ‘Dhana Yoga’ or ‘Raj Yoga’ etc. is for learning purpose; while, for a layman seeking astrological advice, use of these terms should be kept as minimum as possible. This is so because it works more towards in generating a happy or sad feeling (depending upon which type of Yoga is present in your horoscope); while, this may not serve any significant purpose on practical grounds. Like, you may be looking to know about professional prospects of your horoscope. On ground level, the prominent and practical questions, which needed to be addressed, are related to stability, security and growth in profession. And, for addressing this, one may need to be specific both in questions as well as answers. The appeasement therapy of showering good looking words like you have a Raj Yoga or Dhana Yoga may, sometimes, also create unwarranted problems; and, except a happy feeling (which may not sustain longer), nothing much can be achieved.
